INFERTILITY

Fertility problems affect approximately one in six couples in New Zealand which means they have been unable to conceive after a year of trying, or the woman has been unable to carry a pregnancy to a live birth.

Half the cases of infertility are due to a problem with the woman; the other half are caused by a problem with her male partner.

Dr Heron can offer many treatments to infertile couples. He can also provide information and advice on local groups that offer support while couples undergo tests and treatments that can often cause stress and anxiety.
