OUR SERVICES
As a gynaecologist, Dr Chris Heron looks after health issues specific to women, with a focus on reproductive organs - ovaries, uterus (or womb), cervix (the opening of the uterus) and vagina.
His specialist skills extend further, into the field of ‘urogynaecology’ which is the care of women who experience urinary incontinence (the leaky bladder syndrome often caused by pelvic floor problems) or prolapse conditions where the uterus drops into the vagina, or the bladder or bowel slip out of place and pushes up against the vaginal walls.
His broad scope of specialist expertise means Dr Heron can offer women his personal care and attention for an extensive range of treatments.
From your first visit, you can be assured Dr Heron will treat you as an individual. He will offer support and guidance throughout your procedure, and provide you with direct, honest and clear information - every step of the way.
The holistic approach
In line with many of his patients today, Chris takes an holistic approach to healing and offers women the choice of using alternative therapies to complement traditional treatments. He works closely with his wife, Angela Heron, a registered kinesiologist who can provide advice on natural therapies, diet and exercise if this is your choice.
Many women are referred to Dr Heron via their GP or practice nurse, and others make their own appointments through personal choice, recommendations from former patients. (It is worth noting that some health insurance policies do not cover specialist visits without a GP referral.)
